This policy explains how GSW Transport Pty Ltd (ABN 45 666 728 016, ACN 666 728 016) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. What we collect
Contact details — name, business name, email, phone, delivery addresses and billing information.
Consignment information — pick-up and delivery addresses, contact names, signatures and photographs captured as proof of delivery.
Recruitment information — details supplied in job applications, including licence classes, tickets, work history and referees.
Website information — if analytics are enabled later, standard technical information such as pages visited and browser type.
3. How we use it
To quote, book, carry and invoice freight, and to contact you about consignments in progress.
To meet legal obligations, including heavy vehicle, workplace safety and taxation records.
To assess job applications and manage recruitment.
4. Who we share it with
Subcontract carriers who carry freight on our behalf when we need extra capacity.
Service providers such as our transport management system, accounting software and IT support, who are bound to protect it.
Regulators, insurers and legal advisers where required or permitted by law.
We do not sell personal information.
5. How we protect it
Access to systems is restricted to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts and passwords.
Paper records are stored securely at our Byford yard and destroyed when no longer required.
We retain records for as long as required by law, generally seven years for commercial and heavy vehicle records.
6. Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you add analytics or embedded maps later, update this section to describe what they collect.
7. Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us first. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
